monday.com has fundamentally expanded its AI strategy. What used to start with smart automations and autofill functions is now a complete AI ecosystem. With monday Sidekick, monday Agents, monday Vibe and monday Magic The platform no longer only performs tasks faster, it is increasingly taking on them itself. What is monday AI?
monday AI is not a single feature, but the entire AI ecosystem of the platform. It covers everything: from simple text generators on the board to intelligent automations to fully autonomous AI agents that handle processes from A to Z.
Good to know: monday AI is activated by default in all accounts. Admins control who has access and which tools can be used via Administration > Features.
monday Sidekick: Your AI assistant right in the workspace
monday Sidekick is your personal AI assistant who knows your work context - boards, projects, roles, processes and acts based on them. You ask, he answers and acts.
What exactly can Sidekick do?
- Summarise: Reduce long threads, workdocs, or board content to the essentials
- Generate: Create texts, answers and work packages at the push of a button
- organising: structure boards, prioritise, assign tasks
- Proactively supporting: Identify risks in projects earlier and suggest next steps
In short: sidekick thinks along, works with you and lets you focus on the essentials. In contrast to generic chatbots, it understands the context of your company and not just the current issue.

monday agents: AI specialists who complete tasks from start to finish
That is the next stage of evolution. With monday agents you can build custom AI specialists who carry out workflows independently.
What are monday agents?
Agents are autonomous AI units that you configure for specific tasks in your company.
They can:

- Create custom strategies and reports
- Process workflows from A to Z without manual intervention
- Be used in a specialised manner for every function in the company, sales, HR, marketing, IT
How does the monday agents Builder work?
The aent builder is equipped with the No-Co and deeply integrated into existing workflows. This means that even teams without technical background can build their own agents.
Practical example
A 'sales consultant agent' analyses new leads every day, prioritises them according to the chance of closing, adds missing data and creates conversation guidelines - fully automatically and without manual intervention.

Autofill with AI: What it is, what it can do, where you use it
Autofill with AI brings intelligent text work directly to the board: Content in columns is analysed, generated and refined. You can summarise, improve, translate texts, extract information from free text, or even recognize sentiments in texts, turning unstructured inputs into usable data.
Open the three-dot menu () to the right of the column heading and select an AI-powered action. You then define the details (e.g. scope, target column, desired result) and see a preview first. If the result is correct, click on “Save & Apply”.

From the moment you've used AI in a column for the first time, the AI rainbow star icon appears on the right side of the column. So you know where you've used AI before.

Flexible per column type
Depending on the column (e.g. text, statuses, dropdown, numeral, date, persons) you have different AI actions available. If you need something specific, you can go to “Set a custom prompt for this column” and define your own prompts - ideal for extracting exactly the information that your team needs.

Where does it work?
Autofill supports common column types such as text, statuses, dropdown, numeral, date or persons. For example, you can automatically assign free text to labels, fill in fields, or convert notes into short bullet points.
Quick deployments (Quick Wins):
- Sales: Call notes about 3 bullet points summarise and fill in relevant fields from the notes.
- Support: Tickets automatically summarise, Subject/priority Detect and set a corresponding status if the sound is negative.
- Project teams: Turn long status updates into a summary and let the next steps be defined.
AI-driven automations & columns
With AI-driven automations and columns, you can bring monday AI directly into your daily workflows. You can find the building blocks in the Automation Centre or when adding new columns under the "AI" tab, allowing you to seamlessly integrate AI into your existing workflows.

What can you do with that?
Summarise, translate and improve texts, recognise sentiment, extract information from files or free text (e.g. from invoices, CVs, contracts) or automatically categorise content. You can add these actions to your automations as triggers/steps as usual.
monday AI in the products: CRM, Service, Dev
monday AI can be used directly in products such as Work Management, CRM, Service and Dev be used.
In monday CRM AI takes several steps for you at once: In Emails & Activities you get suitable suggestions for the subject and mail text, which you can accept with one click and adjust as needed. The AI Timeline Summary condenses all interactions with leads or customers into a compact summary. On your CRM boards, you use Autofill with AI to automatically fill columns: texts improving or summarise, information from free text extract, translating and write values directly into the fields.
The result: less typing, cleaner data and a quick overview of everyday sales.

In monday dev, AI plays to its strengths right where product teams work every day: in your bug list, the categorise action can automatically label new reports via the status column, meaning that pre-sorting runs virtually by itself and automations inform the responsible engineers directly in their task list.
At the same time, the AI Assistant in Workdocs helps you reduce long PRDs or specifications to the essentials and make the key messages visible as a compact summary in tasks. For requests outside the bug list, you can also automatically categorise new items and assign them to the right team (e.g. design, engineering, product), including notification via automation.

In monday service, AI takes care of automatic pre-sorting for you: incoming tickets are automatically summarised, categorised, checked for sentiment and then forwarded to the appropriate contact person directly on the ticket board. This saves you manual pre-sorting and speeds up response and resolution times.
The AI Assistant supports you during processing with context-related suggestions: it analyses ticket history, previous solutions from your team and ongoing conversations, creates a summary, suggests steps towards a solution and can even provide draft responses tailored to your existing processes. The result is consistent responses and less copy-and-paste in your daily work.

In monday Workdocs, AI helps you generate a suitable template or even entire text sections directly, ideal for meeting notes or project outlines.
