Tamedia Advertising AG: Case Study – Blinno GmbH

Tamedia is a leading Swiss media company and part of the TX Group. The company publishes renowned titles and operates digital platforms across the Swiss media market. With a growing team and increasingly complex projects, Tamedia needed a solution for editorial and project management to centrally manage all campaigns, articles and related tasks.

Initial situation

As a newly established unit within Tamedia Advertising’s Commercial Content division, the team faced the challenge of efficiently planning and coordinating advertising concepts and their production, whilst ensuring internal transparency. Particularly for more complex projects that went beyond traditional content, there was a lack of a centralised, structured solution for planning, resource management and status tracking. Much of the work was handled using various tools, manual coordination and individual workarounds. This took time, hampered transparency and caused unnecessary stress during hectic periods.

Solution

An efficient monday.com solution was implemented in just 2–3 months:

Portfolio overview with high-level board

A central project overview has been created for all ongoing campaigns and articles, enabling the management to see the current status of all projects at a glance at any time.

Project boards with a flexible template system

A custom board is created for each project. The relevant teams (Administration, Social Media, Production, etc.) can select a template from a modular template board, and the corresponding board is then created.

External contacts and invoice management

In addition, there is a module for managing external service providers, who can also be directly linked to specific tasks. Hourly rates and invoices are also recorded directly within the system, ensuring transparent cost tracking.

Internal task management

There is also a centralised system for managing all internal tasks, with clear assignments and deadlines for all team members.

Training and knowledge transfer

Following the successful set-up of the monday.com environment, the team received targeted training on how to use the system independently.

Result

Tamedia now has a fully integrated project management system that brings all processes together in one place, from editorial planning and task management to the invoicing of external service providers.
