Sino Biological is a global life sciences and biotechnology company. The company specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of biological reagents. With customers and branches worldwide, Sino Biological is one of the leading suppliers in the pharmaceutical and biomedical research sector.
Initial situation
Sino Biological managed its entire sales process via Salesforce. Over time, however, a structural problem had developed: each employee worked more or less independently, without a common standard for how leads, contacts and sales processes should be handled consistently. As a result, transparency across the entire sales organisation was lost.
The company therefore decided to move away from Salesforce and switch to monday.com. What was missing was a migration and implementation partner who could professionally handle the migration of the existing CRM data whilst also setting up a solid foundation in monday.com that would allow the team to continue working independently.
Solution
Blinno handled the entire migration of CRM data from Salesforce to monday.com and supported Sino Biological throughout the process, from analysis right through to go-live. The process was carried out in clearly structured phases:
Data analysis & mapping
As a first step, all existing sales data in Salesforce was reviewed and cleaned up in collaboration with the client. Only relevant, up-to-date data was selected for migration. A detailed mapping was then created to define how the data would be structured in monday.com.
Migration using Make
Make was used as a migration tool. This enabled the seamless transfer of even complex data structures such as comments, links and logical relationships between records – something that would not have been possible via CSV.
Test migration & validation
Before the full rollout, a test migration was carried out using a representative sample of the data. Only after the team had given the go-ahead was the full data migration carried out in a single step.
monday.com Basic Setup & Training
In parallel with the migration, the structure in monday.com was set up in such a way that the team could get started straight away and work independently. The project was concluded with a training session in which permission settings and basic functions were taught in a practical manner.
